Boosters
With an upgrader for items, you can get numerous bonuses. These could include stats and additional bonuses. These bonuses can be applied to weapons or armor, as well as trinkets. They can be used to boost a character's abilities or to give a new dimension of variety to their appearance.
The upgrade system in World of Warcraft allows players to increase the level of their equipment by spending money at an upgrader for items NPC. The system was first introduced in Mists of Pandaria, and was further developed in Warlords of Draenor. It is a convenient method to boost the level of your equipment, allowing you to bypass the monotonous grind of completing quests and avoid a bunch of wipes in Mythic+ dungeons.
When an item is upgraded, its type of base changes. Upgrades to a normal item create an Exceptional version, while upgrades to an Exceptional version make an Elite. The item will keep its pre-upgrade stats, and will receive an additional bonus from its new base type. This bonus will be randomly selected from the following options: an opportunity to acquire a weapon with an increased damage range and a chance to gain an improved reload speed, or a chance to gain an improved defense roll.
The number of upgrades you do will determine the amount of extras you will receive. Each upgrade will boost the extras in question by a factor of one, up to a maximum of 3. Additionally, each upgrade will also boost the stat that is used to determine the main one by 1.
In addition to the stat increases certain upgrades can also give a random secondary boost. These boosts are extremely beneficial and should be taken into consideration when choosing which items to upgrade. Some boosts are beneficial in certain builds (such as Whistan's shield in FB sorcs) while others can bring significant value to certain collectors.
Some items have a built-in boos, which is less effective when upgraded. For example the Goldwrap offers an additional potion slots. These are usually upgraded to add value to a close-to-perfect or perfect item.
Costs
Upgrades are accompanied by certain costs associated with them. The first is the cost for the upgrade. This cost depends on the new ilvl of the item and the number of perks it gains and can be costly. It is also costly to upgrade an item to a higher tier (such as Explorer > Champion, or Veteran > Heroic).
The second is the cost of the materials needed for an upgrade. These items are usually Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons or a specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor Quests. The amount of these items required can be seen in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.
The process of upgrading an item is a complex process that takes time. Depending on the size of the upgrade, it could take anywhere from 8 to 12 hours. The stats that are the base of the upgraded item are calculated based on its new ilvl and other properties. This calculation determines the new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, as well as other vital statistics. In some cases an upgrade may grant additional perks. These perks are offered in a list.
In rare instances the upgrade will only replace the highest-costing perks. The upgrader can also make other modifications to the item, for example, changing its weapon damage type, or adding or eliminating an operational or unwieldy function. These modifications are based on the item's ilvl. They may also require special materials, like the adamantine.
Success Rate
Item upgrades are based on a chance, and like every random system, there's the possibility that the upgrade will fail. There are a number of methods to increase your odds of success. This includes the use of an item called an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of additional components to the upgrade.
An Upgrade Pity is an item that you can purchase from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the chances of an upgrade's success by a percentage. This is similar to the luck bonus that some items have but is more stable. It can be added to any armor or weapon and is able to be used up to three times.
You can also add additional components to the upgrade to increase the chances of success. These materials are displayed in a window located above the + button. There are however limitations to this, and the largest amount of material that can be added is shown right above the + button in the user interface.
Another method to increase the chance of an upgrade succeeding is to use an item known as a Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item is useful if your weapon or piece is near or has reached the top level of its tier. It will allow you to upgrade the equipment to the next level without risking breaking.
If an upgrade is unsuccessful the upgrade will be reversed to its previous state. This is usually a downgrade, but could also be an upgrade. It is a good idea to save an upgrade for when you're near the maximum capacity of an item, and to use it as an emergency.
Kafra has a range of products that can be utilized to increase the chances of a successful upgrade. You can increase your chances of success by upgrading equipment several times using HD Oridecon and HD Elunium. The rate of success will be increased if you can increase your chances of receiving a Double Mint by Shoe-Minting five times.
Failure Rate
The upgrader for items allows players to add an extra slot to their equipment. The slots can be used to upgrade an item or apply an enhancement. It is important to keep in mind that not all items can be upgraded. The enchantment and upgrade rate depends on the rank of the item. The higher the rank, the more zeny and items you'll require to upgrade it.

This system is expensive, especially if you are seeking top-of-the-line equipment. Upgrades to armor and weapons can cost up to 100,000 z or 100 Carnium. The success rate also decreases as you climb in rank. However, you can utilize cash shop items to increase your chances of upgrading your item effectively.

The protection is only available once per upgrade, and is not a valid expiry date unless it is used again.
The interface for the item upgrade r could be a bit confusing, but it is not impossible to navigate. The main menu appears on the left, and the upgrade window is on the right.
